In case you need it.

I figured everyone needs a little giggle just in time for finals.

Making these for my cookie swap party in a few weekends. <3

Now get back to your studying, as I am about too. (: Good luck.

Time for finals.

It's that time of the semester. Yep, it's reading week. The dreaded week before finals that we have as a constant reminder that our life is hell for two weeks. This week due to studying, next week due to forgetting everything we studied and talking our finals for the classes we only half listened to all semester.

So, in the spirits of these upcoming nightmares I decided to reflect on what this semester has been.
Crazy.
Fun.
Laughing.
Crying.
Fighting.
Make ups.
Parties.
Relationships.
Break ups.
Oh, you know.. the norms in college.

So basically.. I have this pretty awesome roommate, L, and boy oh boy did we have an awesome semester. You almost can't find one of us without the other, and I'm sure we have plenty of fans and others not so fond. You see, we like to laugh at things we shouldn't, and make huge deals out of everything. We're both only children, so to us, this is okay behavior. Apparently not everyone thinks so, but what do we care, right? Right! (: Oh right, because we're in college, we only live once.. yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. NO, we just know how to have fun. For instance, we have snow on the ground. (And by snow I mean ice.) Our dumbasses decided we should have a little roommate bonding time and go out to get sushi IN heels, IN twenty degree weather. I know, I know you're ridiculously jealous of how smart we are. Not only did we have to walk through the ice, but we also had to scrape it off L's car. (And by we, I mean her. HEHE) Anyway, like I said, pretty awesome roommate.

There have been so many people that have entered and exited my life over the past three months, and one in particular who has entered and hopefully isn't planning on leaving anytime soon.

So, I'll bid all you college goers good luck on your finals and happy studying! (:

Hot beverage weather.

It's that time of year again, lots of snow falling on my college campus. It's so pretty, and for now, worth walking through. It's a whole 28 degrees outside, and this makes me happy? It's time for my list of snowy weather activities to resurface! (: Beginning with making some hot beverage, preferably hot cider. YUM. (:
Some snowman building, of course snowboarding and so many more! Oh, all the things to do.

This is what happens when you raise a girl where it snows, move her to the desert for several years and put her back in snow for college. (: You can't tell me this doesn't tickle your fancy!!

True caring.

For the past week or so, I felt a distance with my friend. We go to college together, but unlike last year, we live in different halls. It could feel like we were on opposite ends of the world.

Sometimes just that is enough for a friendship to weaken once in a while. We just weren't as close. Sure, I had lunch with her at least twice a week, but something just wasn't the same. I figured it was done, we weren't really friends anymore. We didn't talk much, and when we did our conversation was a bit listless. I missed her, a lot.

Then it was the weekend, she was going home to be with her boyfriend. I hate to say it, but sometime I think it's her boyfriend that caused us to be distant. The fact that even when we were hanging out, they'd be texting and he would call her, just minor distractions. It happens though, friends move on to better things. IE, her boyfriend.

And then... I got the text. She wanted to let me know that she'd been in an accident. She was "okay" but they were keeping her in ICU overnight and she had a broken wrist. I was so upset, and I had wanted to be there for her. It made me realize that just because we may not talk as much as we used to, or hang out as much it didn't mean we weren't friends. Sure, she still has her boyfriend, but that doesn't take away a friendship that once stood. But I will always care.

Get better soon, K. We miss you. <3

Hail

The lovely town that I reside in had a hail storm today. At 6:30 in the morning. I sleep next to the window, and of course, I was jolted awake. This hail was awesomely awful. Basically, the size of small dogs.

I was awoken from my state of "almost there" napping when my roommate came home after work obviously NOT happy about something. The hail had dented her car, the last thing that ran through my mind after being woken up at 6:30 in the AM was "Hmm, I wonder if my car is okay..." Of course not, I wondered why in the hell I was awake so early. Oh, joy. Could it be that my car is also dented to all hell?

I couldn't be that lucky, lucky enough to not have dents. Oh no, of course not. We got to my car, and sure enough, there were the dents. JOY. What does my roommate do, after being so upset about her own car? Start laughing and saying "Yay, I'm not the only one. You're car is shitty too!" Wow, thanks roommie!! She's lucky I like her, just saying. (:

Moral of the story, buy parking garage parking permits.

Round two

It's that time of year again, time for classes to start. I'm returning to my lovely college for my second year. I've missed this campus and the people I'd grown close to from last year. The summer was filled with seven day work weeks, and a lovely little vacation to the Philadelphia area. It was a busy time for me and now it's back to school, which means back to working on this guide to my thoughts.

We just had a fire alarm which reminded me of this blog and how much I've missed it. Expect more to come soon. (:

The end of the beginning

Freshman year has been, an interesting journey. I could sit here and explain to you my many trials and tribulations as a college freshman, I actually just feel like I need to say how much I'll miss it.
I'll miss:
The tears
The friends
The dorms (oddly enough)
and of course...

 The weather of lovely Flagstaff!

But indeed it is time to say hello to summer. Yes ladies and gentleman, it is that time of year we all know and love. SUMMER. So what is it that we get to look forward to?:
Flip Flops
Shorts
HOT weather
Friends
You know, the usual!

So I'm here to say goodbye to the end of the beginning, goodbye freshman year of college. (:

All the things that I hate.

While I was sitting at lunch today with a few friends, one of these said friends kept egging on my bad mood by asking about everything I hated about life. As I sat there in my bitter mood pondering all the things I hated about life, we decided I should vent in a post for all the world to read and agree and/or disagree with, and hopefully laugh a little in enjoyment. So here it goes:

It all started with boys, they just make life so much more difficult than necessary. Period. End of story.

Socks and sandals, but not only this. ALSO, mandals. This just makes me ask myself how these males decided that buying these sandals to wear in public was a good idea.

Shorts and/or skirts with Ugg boots, or boots of any kind. To quote my best friend "you look like a weather confused whore"

Cats. Don't get me wrong, kittens are adorable. But then they grow into evil balls of fur that have the potential to tear your skin to shreds and rip out your eyeballs if they so well please.

People who think they're hilarious, and always make those jokes that you only laugh at for fear of an awkward situation. I mean, I'm not the funniest person. However, I'm aware of this and make these lame jokes for those who enjoy these jokes as I do.

I'd appreciate if the person I was texting, or attempting to have a conversation with via text didn't take six years to respond. If you are in the middle of a conversation, don't you think you would have your phone close by and be looking at it? This may be understandable if said person is in class or at work, fine, I understand that you can't always have your phone out during these times. Yet, someone who chronically sucks at texting back in a timely manner is just a dunce.

Those guys that sit in the back of the class, granted they may be girls, but they are usually of the male species. They don't pay attention in class, they laugh the entire time, they talk and "mock" the people in class that actually pay attention. You're not cooler than other people because you have a lower grade than the rest of the class.

Economics class, why would anyone WANT to take microeconomics? The class makes me want to find one of those previously mentioned evil cats to rip my eyes out. As a business major, taking an economics class, I did not sign up to learn about climate change and air quality. Someone please explain to me how this relates? Oh, right. IT DOESN'T!

I'm aware of that fact that basketball shorts are made to be comfortable, but I'm also aware that they are called shorts for a reason. However, guys seem to think that basketball shorts, or any shorts for that matter, should cover more leg and less ass. Another style that just makes me wonder who would think this is attractive.
Hot weather. Period. While this one is more than capable of explaining itself, I would still like to point out the fact that some people don't know what hot weather is. I live outside of Las Vegas, this means I live in a desert. This means that where I live, it's about 115 degrees in the middle of summer. THIS ladies and gentleman, is MUCH TOO HOT. Sometimes I feel like I live on the surface of the sun! (While this sun is happy, I AM NOT.) --->

These are just the few things that really stuck out in my mind that I felt the need to share with the world. And now I feel compelled to eat with these friends more often as inspiration!

Birfffday! :P

So, Monday was my birthday. Yayy. Unfortunately, Mondays are my busiest days. Not yayy. I went to class and failed a quiz, ew. Then I went to a two hour meeting, which fortunately got out a bit earlier than scheduled. So following this meeting I sat with a friend of mine and discussed life and all it's eh-ness lately. After using up an extra hour than I had planned, I came home to a ridiculously decorated room. (best roommate, ever, let me just tell you!) It pretty much made my birthday.

This followed a text from a friend of mine, in effort to keep me from going to my room to soon and ruining the surprise, to go to her room after my meeting. Well I was carrying ridiculous amounts of things such as: a box of stuff, papers, a wrapped 5 Hour Energy from said friend I discussed life with, a water bottle and other miscellaneous items. So, naturally, I wanted to take all this to my room before I ventured to anyone's room. So I get to my room, and I see my beautiful door decorated in birthday streamer! I then walk into a room where I'm greeted by a roommate saying "You would have ruined the surprise! You're supposed to go to K's room!" Well, thank you for the birthday wishes!

I then sat at my desk working on homework, only to get bombarded with people throwing about 25 balloons in my room by people yelling "Happy Birthday!!" This was fun. My day ended sitting in the lobby doing homework with one of the RA's in my hall, and almost died! I'm just getting over being sick, so I have that awful "getting-over-being-sick-so-I'm-going-to-cough-up-a-lung" cough. It's not fun, and I almost died!

Then, it hit midnight and became my friend's birthday. SOO I bombarded her with a text, facebook wall post, and wishing her happy birthday when I ran into her in the hall. She's one of my best friends, so hopefully she didn't mind to much! :) tee hee :P

So this was my birthday, and it was.. well, it was a Monday! :)

Fire Alarms.

Let me just share with you my love of fire alarms. They're the most purposeful use of my time... NOT. They're one of those perks of living in college dorms that just so happen to never get mentioned, ever. That is until you're minding you own business at midnight, nonetheless, and you hear BEEP BEEP BEEP. Thank you college kids that don't know how to use an oven properly. You'd think people of this age were capable of being trusted with fire, but apparently you'd be thinking incorrectly.

Perks you're told about for living in Freshman dorms:
You meet tons of new people - True.
You will have lots of new friends around you - probably not, these people are the same people you see every day, and once freshman year is over how many of those people do you think you'll still talk to? Exactly.
Moving on...
Study rooms open 24 hours - Yes they are, they're also usually occupied by people listening to music and/or talking with friends sitting next to them or on Skype.
You get all the information you need through your RA's - This one is a true one, unless you get unlucky with a crappy RA, but that's unlikely.

And so we move to perks that usually aren't mentioned:
Fire alarms in the middle of the night - They happen, and it's especially fun when it's ridiculously cold outside.
The pleasure of community bathrooms - You'll hear they aren't that bad... FALSE. These bathrooms are miserable, think about having to walk about three miles to go to the bathroom when you wake up in the morning having to pee like a crazy woman... NOT FUN.
And then there are roommates - They tell you roommate's aren't that bad, this is also incredibly incorrect. While I love my roommate this semester, I had two not so awesome roommie's last semester. I'm pretty sure one wanted to kill me and the other was just a psycho, crazy lady.

So back to my point about fire alarms, they're like the spawn of Satan. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP... stuck in your ears yet? No? BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP... wanting to pull your hair out yet? Well, just for good measure BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. I'm sure you can hear those damn fire alarms in your head now!

Ahh, fire alarms in the middle of the night. Did I mention how much I love them? :)

Hi !

So after sitting with my friend for weeks as she's keeping up with her blog, I decided to write my own. It seemed like loads of fun! So I shall sit here and divulge all my inner thoughts in writing to the mysterious readers of the internet. Sounds like a good time, right? Yeah, I'm really not so sure how this is going to work out. You're welcome along on the journey, and I hope you enjoy the random and completely useless inner thoughts that will eventually make it on to this page.

Welcome to my new blog, let's see if this works! :)
